Your most important resources are your personal buyer real estate agent and a certified home inspector. These are the people you want guiding you to make sure you don’t end up with more problems than you can handle.
If you can, find a real estate agent who specializes in new construction. This person will know local builders’ reputations and can discuss what to look for in a new home. When your home is finally built, bring your certified home inspector along for the final evaluation to make sure everything in the home meets the necessary standards.
