Hello! Let me introduce myself… Personal I am a native Californian. I grew up in Southern California until my family moved to northern California where my father and I built our home in Occidental. In 1981 I married Sharon. In our 26 years together we have lived in Occidental, Sebastopol, Santa Rosa, and now Windsor. We are exceptionally proud of our three children; Veronica (25), Lauren (23), and Samuel (20), and our two grandchildren. All of us live in Sonoma County except Sam who is finishing up school in Sacramento. Sharon and I are Foster Parents for the County of Sonoma. We specialize in high-needs infants, and are fulfilled by reciprocating in this way for our blessings. Career I spent the first 22 years of my adult life working at Hewlett Packard, which eventually spun off into Agilent Technologies. I began as an Assembler in manufacturing and after earning my degree was promoted into Management and Professional levels. As a Manager of many teams, I gained experience and skills valuable in life and applicable to my real estate career. I spent the last 7 years of my corporate life managing suppliers globally as a "Commodity Manager." I negotiated pricing agreements, wrote contracts, and maintained long-term relationships with our suppliers. A wonderful finish to my corporate career! Education I graduated from Analy High School in 1978, and then attended Santa Rosa Junior College. After attending SRJC for a couple of years, Sharon and I were married. I began working at Hewlett Packard and went back to school, completing courses for my Associates of Arts degree. While with Hewlett Packard I took many Junior College and Sonoma State University courses along with extensive professional training pertaining to staff management, teambuilding, negotiating, contract writing, database management, and more. I am now a licensed Realtor in California, and a licensed Foster Parent in Sonoma County. Just For Fun… I love to camp with friends and family. My son (Sam) and I ski together, and we all love the snow. Tahoe is an annual trip with my kids and grandkids. My parents live in Hawaii - so we try to visit the islands as often as possible. We love the culture, the people, and the BEACH! Sharon and I often travel together. I love to read, stay in shape at the gym, and relax through Tai Chi & playing the guitar. Recently I’ve taken up kayaking, which is proving to be a wonderful way to see this beautiful county! Well – that’s me. I look forward to meeting you! |
