History of Center Point, Alabama

Center Point is a newly incorporated city and a former census-designated place in Jefferson County, Alabama. At the 2000 census the population was 22,784. However, after its incorporation (municipal government) in 2002, the city's boundaries are much smaller than the census-designated place's were. As of the 2004 estimates, the population of the newly-created city is 15,130.
