Arizona
Arizona became the 48th state in the Nation in 1912, on February 14th, Valentine’s Day. Known to many as the “Grand Canyon State,” Arizona offers residents sunny, hot weather (average July high is a blistering 98 degrees, and the temperature often ranges above 100 degrees) and a variety of recreational opportunities, but the state is a center for learning as well. It is currently home to about 52 Colleges and Universities.
