History of Bloomington, Illinois
Bloomington is a city in McLean County, Illinois|McLean County, Illinois, United States that is its county seat as well. It is the more populous of two principal municipalities of the Bloomington-Normal, Illinois|Normal Metropolitan Statistical Area and is the county seat of McLean County, Illinois|McLean County{{GR|6}}. Bloomington is the host of the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, which is nationally known as one of the top Shakespearean festivals in the country (held at Ewing Manor).
