History of Fort Bragg, North Carolina
Fort Bragg is a major United States Army fort, in Cumberland County, North Carolina|Cumberland and Hoke County, North Carolina|Hoke Counties, North Carolina, USA, near Fayetteville, North Carolina|Fayetteville. It is also a census-designated place and as of 2000, had a population of 29,183. The fort is named for Confederate Army General Braxton Bragg.
