The highest temperature recorded was in the year 2000 at Camp Mabry - 112 Fahrenheit! Winter offers a nice break in the heat with an average high of 62 degrees in December, 60 degrees in January, and 65 degrees in February. Austin averages 88 days in which the temperature falls below 45 degrees Fahrenheit.
