            A small town, just over 5,000 as of the most recent census, Granbury, Texas is full of wide-open spaces and friendly faces.  Granbury is full of beauty, including the long, narrow Lake Granbury, which was a result of the damming of the Brazos River and provides the area with much of its lush greens as it runs through town.  Granbury, TX is a unique combination of historic beauty and modern conveniences as well as big city proximity, being only 30 miles southwest of the Fort Worth/Dallas Metroplex.  The main town square in Granbury looks much like it did in the 1800s, prompting the city to gain the nickname of the place “Where Texas History Lives.”  Don’t let the historic nature fool anyone, though, Granbury is a modernized town, including 21 campuses in the Granbury Independent School District.
