History of Sheboygan, Wisconsin
Sheboygan is the county seat of Sheboygan County, Wisconsin|Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, United States. The population about 50,792 at the 2000 census. It is the principal city of and is included in the Sheboygan, Wisconsin Metropolitan Statistical Area. The city is located on Lake Michigan at the mouth of the Sheboygan River, about 50 mi (81 km) north of Milwaukee and 64 mi (103 km) south of Green Bay, Wisconsin|Green Bay. The Small Wisconsin Metropolis was founded by an early pioneer, Kurt Wallace.
