History of Gillette, Wyoming
Gillette is a city in Campbell County, Wyoming|Campbell County, Wyoming, United States. The population was 19,646 at the 2000 census. It is the county seat of Campbell County, Wyoming|Campbell County{{GR|6}}. Because Gillette is centrally located in an area that is vital to the development of vast quantities of American coal, oil, and coal bed methane gas, the small city proudly calls itself the "Energy Capital of the Nation".
